Wildflowers of San Luis Obispo
Photographs and descriptions of the wildflowers commonly encountered in San Luis Obispo and immediately adjacent ares, with a focus on those found in the SLO Open Space properties. This book is also available at the San Luis Obispo chapter general meetings.
Dune Mother’s Wildflower Guide Photographs and descriptions of significant plants of the contiguous Nipomo, Oceano and Guadalupe Dunes in southern San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara Counties on the Central Coast of California. Currently, we have over 100 book titles available, with most being displayed at each of the Chapter's general meetings. Additionally, you can expect to see wild-flower seeds, greeting cards (such as Mardi Niles' drawings), as well as native-plant themed placemats and posters. We will be posting a list of our current books and their prices, later. Our newest book: A 6" X 11" spiral-bound, 147 pages of excellent photographs in beautiful color. This unique reference will be enjoyed and appreciated by all outdoor enthusiasts. The overwhelming diversity of our parks and monuments harbors many joys and secrets. A bit of knowledge will undoubtedly lead to a quest for more...and perhaps even be an inspiration to seek the beauty and serenity of our natural treasures. The material in this book was compiled in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management, with input from our own George Butterworth. Available at the Carrizo Plain Visitor’s Center. Tee-Shirts Tees are available at the Chapter's general meeting. They come in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve styles, with several colors available; all bear a full-color image of a lupine. Price is $15.00 each for short-sleeve shirts and $18.00 for long-sleeve shirts, including sales tax. Caps Caps are available at the Chapter's general meeting. They are a forest-green brushed-fabric baseball cap, with CNPS-SLO embroidered in gold above the bill. Price is $10.00 each, including sales tax.
There are over 290 color photographs.
It is available at The Crushed Grape, The Photo Shop, Novel Experience, Wild Birds Unlimited, SLO Chamber of Commerce, and the SLO Historical Museum, all in San Luis Obispo; and Coalesce Bookstore and the Natural History Museum in Morro Bay. Other sites are expected soon.

along Highway 58 in northern San Luis Obispo County.
Shell Creek is the focal point but Calf Canyon and Red Hill Road are also emphasized.
